Hi, I’m Amelie, an accredited psychotherapist and hypnotherapist with a BA (Hons) in Psychology and a Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice.
My path into therapy hasn’t just been shaped by training, but by real-life experience too. Alongside my professional work, I have lived experience of SEND parenting, which has given me a deeper understanding of neurodiversity, advocacy, and the emotional challenges that can come with navigating systems that don’t always fit. This perspective informs my work in a way that is compassionate, realistic, and non-judgmental.
Professionally, I work in an integrative way, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic, and evidence-based approaches, alongside hypnotherapy. I have experience supporting people with anxiety, overwhelm, low self-worth, and the impact of masking, particularly within neurodivergent clients. I aim to create a space where you feel safe enough to be yourself, without pressure to change who you are.
I’m also passionate about making therapy accessible for everyone. I believe support shouldn’t feel out of reach, which is why I offer affordable sessions and remain open to conversations around fees where needed.
Outside of therapy, you’ll usually find me outdoors with my three dogs. Being in nature is something I really value—it’s where I reset, reflect, and slow things down. That sense of grounding and gentleness is something I try to bring into my work with clients too.
I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can breathe, make sense of things, and begin to feel more like yourself again. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just need somewhere to be heard, I’m here to support you.
